Emmy®nominated Voice Director, Sirena Irwin, is offering classes, online and in-person, focusing in character discovery and exploration.

When you are able to bring multiple characters to life with creativity, believability and reliability, your employment opportunities grow exponentially.
With a maximum of 12 students, we will have the time to discover your unique characters and work to make sure they can be sustained in the many emotional states that you may encounter in projects ahead.
We will initiate our exploration with provided animation copy but by the end, you will have created a short piece of “copy” that expands upon the character(s) you have newly created. With that discovery – you will then be able to put that RELIABLE character into your roster of characters.

The work you generate in class will travel with you as you move forward in your career whether it be in animation or live action. The wonderful world of animation is a vast playground that allows for all creatives to share their unique talents. So let’s PLAY!

“Sirena is a legend. She is incredible. Her voice on its own can do every sound and every shape. You get to watch a show while being directed. I feel like I learned more about voice acting just watching her.”

“I’ve genuinely shared some of my favorite career experiences working with Sirena. She’ll help you investigate the interior of a character so that silly voices aren’t the mark of success but, more so, building the motivations of a character so you’re conveying them with strong intentions.”
– Michael Luwoye
“From the get-go, you feel [Sirena’s} welcoming fun approach to directing actors that will help you bring vulnerability to your characters that you never have been able to before. I speak from experience! I reached many blocks during records when I couldn’t connect to the moment or my character. Sirena brought out many tricks, as well as, her own vulnerability to enable me to perform. It was like magic. I’ve grown as an actor because of her sensitive, strong and smart direction.”
– Sean Giambrone
